Here’s my full run from @ninjawarrior #CityFinals! I was afraid I wasn’t strong enough to compete, but i proved myself wrong again! I made it farther than anyone else on our course! I got 3rd place overall (@moves_like_yager and @karsonvoiles both made it through the floating monkey bars faster than i did). But I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, and for what could happen in the future, if I continue to train smart. Thank you all so much for supporting me, and i look forward to seeing you out there!

Congratulations to all of the finalists! Especially @moves_like_yager and @karsonvoiles for rocking the power tower! *a lot of you have asked how I went farther than everyone else, but ended up in 3rd place, and I promise it made sense. After the warped wall, i knew i had to pace myself to conserve strength as possible, for the next 3 intense upperbody obstacles. I knew the extra time would lower my overall placement, but i took that risk, in hopes of completing the course. But since none of us finished the 9th obstacle, their faster times gave them the higher ranking. While i am super proud to have made it a few moves farther than any of the men, i believe that their faster pace throughout gave them the superior performance. Congratulations guys! 🥇🥈🥳

The floating monkey bars are so much trickier than they look! When you have to carry the bar with you, there is nothing to stop it from spinning or rolling out of the cradle. It’s pretty hard to grip with one hand, and if you miss the perfect placement on the first swing, clinging on for dear life through the backswing feels impossible!
In case you haven’t seen the episode yet, I’ll hold off on posting any results until tomorrow, but thank you guys so much for supporting and cheering for me!

I’ve studied the obstacles. I have a plan. I don’t feel strong enough, but I’ve never let that stop me before. Looking forward to another opportunity to (hopefully) exceed my own expectations, and show myself that I’m stronger than i know.
My lockoffs are working!!! Ever since my tendinitis started 2 years ago, I haven’t been able to hold a #lockoff. As soon as i let go with one hand, the other arm would immediately fail. For 2 months now, I’ve been doing negative CHIN ups, and it’s worked wonders. When i tried @ninjagabby’s challenge, i realized that for the first time in over a year, i was holding for at least a full second with each arm! It’s small compared to what i used to be able to do, but the fact that I’ve found a solution, and am making progress means everything!!!
*I’ve also been doing #PEMF, massage, powerball, band exercises, grasston, using @beam cbd oil, acupuncture, and a hypervolt. I will beat this.

Yesterday was crazy!!! First, i got to do backflips over #reallifedoratheexplorer @alisonsadventures and then suddenly, she got stung by a stingray! Her foot was stinging, toes going numb, but she embraced the exciting educational experience, asked tons of questions, made new friends, and even let me play the hero! 🦸♀️ Moral of the story:
1. A positive attitude can transform an extremely painful experience into an amazing adventure
2. LA beaches have lots of stingrays when the water is warm. Rather than sprint in, leaping over the waves, shuffle your feet along the bottom, so you don’t step on any of them.
3. If you get stung by a stingray, get your foot in hot water asap!!!
4. Giving piggyback rides up the stairs is an amazing glute 🏋️♂️ 😁
This is my favorite way to work towards your first pull up! It requires only a pull up bar and a stool. 😁
There seems to be a myth that women can’t build upper body strength. If you didn’t learn pull ups when you were very young, they can feel impossible at first, but THAT IS NORMAL! You just have to stick with it.
It took my mom @ginnymaccoll over 2 years of consistent training to master this move, but she didn’t start until she was 62, and how many can you do now? 12?

I've had a lot of opportunities to practice different styles of movement during which one of my arms or legs was...unavailable. My upper body got really strong, during my multiple knee and ankle injuries. My legs got more powerful during hand and shoulder injuries. I've gotten really good at writing with my non-dominant hand and hopping through obstacle courses. Every setback is an opportunity to improve in an overlooked area of your life.

#TBT My very first stunt audition over 10 years ago! As fun as it is to play the hero, most of our jobs are getting beat up. Falling safely is the first and most important skill you can learn. It can be a little rattling on mats, but it gets gnarly on hard wood floors and asphalt.
That’s why it’s essential to have a badass recovery routine as well. I use foam rollers, hot baths, and @beam #cbdoil almost every day to recover faster, so i can train harder and longer.
