To those who asked how i got down, VERY AWKWARDLY! I wore a sweatshirt and pants, so I'd be able to slide down upsidedown without my hands, just in case pulling a rope down did not count as an opposing muscle group to pulling up. It didn't. I always have several backup plans for resting comfortably or conserving energy on a rope.
If you haven't spent over 20 consecutive min hanging out on a rope or aerial silks before, please don't climb a rope this tall without a harness.
If all of your pull UP muscles are toast, does pulling DOWN count as an opposing muscle group?

Watching my mom @ginnymaccoll progress in upper body strength over the past few years has opened up a whole new world for me. I didn't know that you could gain so much strength in a totally new type of movement at age 67! So many people give up on making athletic progress after they hit 40, but look how much is possible! @ironsportsofficial @samsannanw
@sammohog told me that my last 2 reps don't count, because i squirmed too much, and i think she's right. So even though it doesn't count as a record, i got a little bit stronger in the fight. Thanks for keeping me honest Sammo. Now, back to the grind!
My article in @oxygenmagazine is finally on newsstands! I love this one so much. It's a story about how women's fitness has changed in the past 20 years, and how the goal has evolved from being primarily aesthics based towards functional strength and skill. It makes me so happy!

Last weekend at @alternate_routes, i tried the biggest peg board I've ever seen...twice. i didn't make it all of the way, but i kept moving for over 2 minutes, and got an amazing burn! On my 2nd try, i was way faster and more efficient. I made it farther faster, but the first one took a lot out of me. I think I'll get it next time though 😬
